cool, refreshing zima episode 7 - a caveat or two.

Sorry for the wait, guys. I've been having some issues with the FTP server I use, and it looks as if it's going to be a little while before that gets resolved.

However, I really would like you all to get your hands on this episode, since it's been so long in the coming, so I've uploaded it to some free file hosting sites. I hope to get the server issue resolved in some manner soon (I may just end up purchasing one of my own, upload all 7 of the files to it, and then redirect the RSS feed). We'll see, I guess.

Happy new year! Hope you enjoy the show!

After one tenuous year of work, work, college work, and work, the Not-So-Evil Trio triumphantly returns to the land of podcasting with episode 7 of cool, refreshing zima. Listen to them as they chat about driving David B's BMW, chow down on Pub Mix, and, naturally, discuss in a deep college-level manner, Season 7 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Download-away!

Once again, sorry for the wait, and let me know if any downloading issues arise (I would have been able to have more options if it hadn't exceeded 100MB ;o; )

Awesome podcast! I'm so glad you guys are back!

w00t welcome back guys.
gonna listen now, I bet it will be great.
On another note - Erin im assuming youve seen the Utada United 2006 DVD - just wanted to let you know I just got it and think its just fantastic! I basically had chills for the entire concert lol!

anyways. bring on the Angel podcasts :P

Anonymous said...

aww just got to the bit about no angel podcasts. Dont worry, i respect that decision. There is a boy/girl divide there that ive noticed from the start. Also, ive noticed that those who have not-so-much love for S6 and S7 are the ones who have not-so-much love for angel. There are darker tones to both.
Ill try to pick up the slack though and get the aussie trio together for some angelcasts eventually :D

Ellie: "Just gotta live like a person. How's that feel?"

Erin: "Yeah, Nan. What are we going to do now?"

Nan: (begins to smile)

-fade to black. Roll credits.

Loved the podcast girls! A big kudos from me to you :D Although your hatred for Angel still makes me die a little inside.
Do hope you continue podcasting in some form or another, love it!
Sad to see the Buffy season reviews are now over :( Tis the end of an era...

Anonymous said...

Thanks guys! Sorry about the whole Angel thing- season 1-3 Angel is pure joy, but Angel's Angel is...not (in my humble opinion).
Michael- i love your slightly-altered scene, but how come i dont have any lines?!

Anonymous said...

Buffy, the ending, that little smile - perfect. What would you have said in Buffy's place? I thought I was gonna get heck for Ellie and Erin having the Faith and Dawn lines.

Buffy could have said, "Remember those times we went to the beach and the docks? Why isn't this big hole filling with water?"

BTW - agree with you about Angel, but I don't really get the Andrew thing.

Loved the podcast - I'm the biggest Buffy geek I know and I still learned something new. Cool.

Finally! I have been waiting for this for a year, and it was worth it. I'm happy that you guys aren't over, and you will continue to make shorter posts. I really need to rewatch Buffy, which I haven't in a year.

An idea would be that you could do one whole show about Angel, as opposed to each season getting their own episode, and focusing on the general highlights. Though I get why you wouldn't want to do one, as I was always a bigger fan of Buffy than Angel.

You could do entire shows devoted to one character, and their whole arch from beginning to end.

And I agree about Tru Calling. I watched it the night it premiered, up until the end. It got cancelled way too soon.

Hi. I love the podcasts which I just stumbled on to. I know I'm a little late. But, I can now listen to them all back to back. I've only just listened to the season 6 review - not the most pleasant way to start, but hey, it's good to get the depressing stuff over quick, right? Anyway, I'm a huge Buffy fan and no one I know is a geek like me, so it's nice to share some laughs with other geeks like you. Glad you're gonna do , or did, season 7 and I hope It will be on Itunes. Thanks

Well, I just listened to all your podcasts back to back. I'm a professionial airbrush artist and it totally helped pass my days by this week. I still got season 5 to listen to 2morrw. I loved them all. It's nice to hear people talk about my fav show without all the pretentious snobbery of most pods. you girls rock! I can tell you loved the show for real, and like me, feel kinda depressed and empty without it - well there's the comics! Ho hum. Anywho, get that season 7 review on Itunes, please. Oh, Do yOu like Buffy between the lines? I think it rocks. yeah, I'm a major geek. ttfn

welcome new michael!!(fear not old michael, you have not been replaced.) Thanks for listening! Unfortunately Erin has been having some problems getting episode 7 online (youll have to talk to her about the technical details). We'll let you all know when we work it all out

Well, I managed to get the season 7 review on my ipod, so I'm gonna check it out tomorrow while I'm finishing a William Burroughs painting - hopefully it will cheer me up, since Burroughs is such a depressing portrait to paint. He looks like old leather. Sorry, that's rude, but true. Anyway, looking forward to it! And wondering if you hated the potentials as much as me. Also, did you think Buffy was way too speechified this season?

Anonymous said...

Oh yeah, hi everybody. Thanks for the welcome benny and nan

No Problemo.

Now this is gonna be way off topic but what the hey! I ONLY recently discovered this indian music video that has been a cult hit on the net since the late 90's. Having become slightly obsessed with its pure awesomness over the last few months, me and a friend have decided to actually do a remake (there are many floating about) which I will post on YouTube after its done. A kind of scene-by-scene homage to its greatness.

Soooo, go watch it, and fall in love with it like I have... and then when our video is done I will (shyly) post the link.

I warn you, it could be the greatest music video ever.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bAN7Ts0xBo

I did warn you...

(p.s. It has overtaken 'Speak' [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--Vaz9jW054] as my favorite YouTube video.)

Anonymous said...

Benny- i have TOTALLY seen that video! i prefer the Buffalax version of this song: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZA1NoOOoaNw

I prefer this classic clip used in the Ghost World movie:

You have no idea how happy these two clips have made me. And trust me, I will be using the expression 'Now poop on them Oliver' WAY too much in the next few days. Thanks both of you!

Also, me and my friend used this video as our inspiration to make our own:

Okay just finished listening to the last podcast. Sorry you're done with Buffy, but I get it. Anyway, I liked it ( not as much as the others, you seemed to be a little bored) But, hey, it was season 7 after all. You're probably all tired of the Buff by now, but let me just say that Nan, I agree with you about the end ( I think) in that Buffy doesn't really love spikey. I mean how could she? Okay, I'm a guy, but let me be Buffy for a minute. Now this guy Spike has been trying to kill me for 5 years (not in the Angelus 3 months of craziness kind of way, but more like I'm the bane of his existence way). So, after he finally realizes that I'm hot and maybe he shouldn't try to kill me, maybe he should love me instead (??), what's he do? He first stalks me, then buys a sex toy of me to plook and ultimately tries to rape me! So being me, instead of calling "to catch a predator", I decide to use him because i hate myself lately and I'm a masochist. It's bad enough (and slightly borish) that after 6 or so years I can't seem to stake the guy, but love him? For real? Yucksville. I'll use him til the end and love him for his self sacrifice (even if he really deserves death as a stalker/rapist/killer/vampire. I know you all love spike, The accent, the finely tuned powers of obsevation, the hot factor (although I'm a guy, I get it). But come on,...he's slightly pathetic...right? Now, it's my fave show of all time (X-files a close second) and Spike was a great character, but at least Angel's love for her was real and not twisted up in guilt and self loathing. "first I'll kill her, then I'll save her" pretty much sums it up. Would you really want to be with someone like that, honestly? my last girlfriend was like that, and I barely got out of that relationship with the clothes on my back. As she used to say, I love you HARD....yeah like a railroad spike in my brain. Anyway, sorry for the rant. I really did enjoy your show analysisisis(?)...You could always tackle the X files mythology - I mean if you're a big fan of migranes and convoluted plot threads as vast as Shelob's web. Congrats on Boston Nan!

Anonymous said...

Wow, that was really long. Sorry about wasting space. It's like my fav line from Buffy. When Snyder said "Every thing that comes out of your mouth is like an airbourne toxic event" I thing he was talkin to me.

Erin said...

OMG!

New Michael = CAPTAIN AWESOME for liking the X-Files!

I myself am a huge X-Phile, and I always thought it be pretty cool to do an XF podcast, as there is a lot to talk about with the X-Files. However I'm still trying to convert Nano (it's been slow-going, but I think she's finally catching on to the awesomeness), and I think Ellie is like half a 'phile. Anyhow, I doubt, however, that we as a trio will have time to tackle all 9 seasons + the movie + the NEW movie (*insert squeee here*). I would be very interested in doing it over skype or something with other like-minded people in the future, though.

Speaking of me and skype and podcasts, if anyone likes Star Wars /other sci-fi stuff I'm now part of the Sarlaac Pit podcast, which is an up and coming podcast of a new star wars specialty auction site called The Rebel Trading Post. It can be found at rebeltradingpost.com. Check it out! :D

Anonymous said...

"plook"??

Anonymous said...

Hehe Erin, those podcasts were... interesting! :D You did a great job too, must have been hard phoning it in, and getting lots of funny comments in.

Also, as an Aussie I have to comment on how sad it is about Heath Ledger. He was a truely fantastic actor, he was in many movie here before he 'made it' in Hollywood. We all knew he would be big, and he was. Damn shame, really really sad.

Anonymous said...

I'm with you benny about Heath Ledger. I was so psyched for the new Batman and his take on the Joker- but now it's just gonna make me feel sad. I was shocked, needless to say... Also, Erin, I hope you tackle the X files, but man, there's a ton of mythology to tackle. I have the disc compilations they put out last year or so that are exclusively the mythology episodes, i.e., aliens, cancer man, black tar, colonization etc. It's really awesome to just watch those in a string sometimes...My fav is the 2 part alien abduction episode with Max(?) on the plane...Hurray for EBEs

Anonymous said...

OK so for all you X-Files fans out there (aka New Michael) i am pleased to announce that i officially love it! True, it took me some time to get into it (1/2 way through season 2), but now i love it!!! Erin and i just marathoned season 5 up to Bad Blood (which was AMAZING!) and im so psyched to watch more!! I'm all for an x-files podcast!!

Anonymous said...

Congrats on your conversion or abduction into the x-files nan...I really hope you guys do a podcast...Keep me posted. Bad Blood was awesome...Oh, and Erin, I checked out one episode of the Sarlaac podcast and ...well...No offense but that one guy is kind of a tool...He totally hates everything and he's wishy-washy...Maybe I just listened to wrong episode...

Erin said...

Haha, which guy? I'm the only girl, LOL. For once. They're all pretty nice though. We chat on Skype before and after podcasting, so while we may have varying opinions I think we all have a mutual level of respect.

As for the X-Files, Nano and I were having a fangirlish blast during Post-Modern Prometheus as well. I really am (and have been for the past 1.5 years) craving an X-Files podcast, but we'll have to wait until Nano finishes. And who knows about Ellie. There may be more time once we're all in college, but at the moment I feel like everything is up in the air.

Anonymous said...

"There may be more time once we're all in college" Ha-Ha, yeah - right.

Anonymous said...

hahaha, I was thinking the same thing, Old Michael.

Anonymous said...

Ill add to the general love for the x-files. A podcast would be great.
I have to admit though I havent watched the post-Duchovny years with the exception of a few eps here and there when they were on TV. It something I have to do in the next year or so.

Anonymous said...

X-Files lost me about half way through - it was on too late for me (old and tired). Only one I remember was with the torso lady making mutant hillbillies with her son. Maybe I'll give it a shot on DVD.

Anonymous said...

holy shit, benny! you almost have more boxsets than me!! right on with the bsg love!! i can't wait for season 3 to come out on dvd.

Anonymous said...

Dont you see my season 3 BSG? You silly americans are so behind!!

Anonymous said...

And yeah I kinda am obsessed with my DVD collection. Every week my pay, or most of it, goes towards the next DVDs I have to buy. This week I bought all 6 seasons of Scrubs and Flight of the Conchords (which is totally WIN for those who havent found it yet).
As for BSG, Im in the camp of people who think it *slighty* lost its epicness after season 1. Season 2 seemed very cheesey in many parts, and season 3 I have but havent watched yet. I hope I enjoy it more than I did S2. I watched episode 1, but the whole Iraq War analagy for me just made me mad. Like, sure its topical, but dont hijack a good show with this political crap, thank you very much.
My most favorite DVDs are my Futurama, Arrested Development and Andy Richter Controls the Universe. :D

Anonymous said...

Did anyone see Cloverfield? If so, what did you think? I friggin loved it...I was totally engrossed! Also, is anyone watching the Sarah Conner Chronicles? I'm diggin it so far...

Anonymous said...

Cloverfield was amazing. Honestly i wasn't sure at first, but now i LOVE it. there were some questionable things (aka the impalement, th helicopter scene...etc) but overall id say it was fantastic.
I loved season 1 and season 2.0 of BSG, but 2.5 was severely lacking something...oh yeah, a good story line. I've started season 3 and its SO much better. Flight of the Conchords is AMAZING! ditto with Arrested Development (i heard there might be a movie...?). Like i've said on the forum my favorite shows other than buffy are Six Feet Under, Queer as Folk, Alias, and Felicity. Oh, and Dexter. and the Office. the x-files is making its way to the top...i watch far too much television.

Anonymous said...

Thats a really great list Nan! FoTC were a huge hit here in australia before they ever made it big in america, and it was really great to see. Arrested Development is - words cannot discribe how good! Six Feet Under is a show that I have to watch, because I know its great I just havent got around to it yet. And The BBC office is a favorite and ive even started to love the US Office, about half way through season 2 it really started to find its own place, because before that I actually HATED the show for being such a poor excuse of a ripoff. Season 3 was great and Season 4 im just starting to watch. But of course, nothing will ever come close to the BBC version for pure comedy gold.
Here in Australia Season 2 of BSG is just that, its not spilt into 2.0 and 2.5. I dont want to say its not without its merits, there were some great moments, great episodes, and it was definately better than most shows out there. But it just makes me a little mad that it had so much... potential after season one, and it just... let me down? Its hard to explain. Season one had all this great tension - different characters all had different knowledge and it was nerve-racking and exciting to see if and when they would find out these different things. It was like the writers put so much effort into setting up this great and complicated storyline, and then got bored with it in season 2, had everybody find out everything, and turn the show into a political mess (holyer-than-thou storylines about democracy and free press and all this crap) or racism or religion, which are all worthy subjects, but the show just became a big preachy metaphor. Thats not the show I signed up for... I signed up for this cool character driven thriller.

Lol i get a little worked up ill just slink back to my corner and say that I still love the show dont get me wrong! Its just if I could get a do-over with season 2 I would take the show in such a different direction than it went.
Also, Gias is so fanstastic. The actor is so wonderful, his skills are out of this world.

Anonymous said...

Oh sorry for the double post I ment to put this above but forgot. Ive been meaning to make a Paypal Donation to you girls for a while, but I cant find the information on how to. Can you or erin email me (benrussell7@gmail.com) and let me know. Thanks.

Anonymous said...

Im with ya on BSG. But I think they just ran out of story... It's a classic example of too powerful too fast...It gets your hopes up and no show can live up to that much drama. Also, Gias got on my nerves...He totally sold out his race...that seemed a bit radical and unbelieveable. And Starbuck....well, can anyone run around being that pissed all the time (me against the world). And I thought the Buff had issues ( I take that back, Buffy can do no wrong:) ) Anyway, that TV movie Razor they did was awesome...But, all in all I'm about thru with BSG...it's been so long, I totally lost interest. Six feet under I liked for a minute (sorry Nan). Queer as folk I loved! Flight of the Concords...meh (sorry, don't hate). How bout The Wire! anyone?...anyone? Come on, you know it rocks! Granted, it's not geeky, but, awesome! And, I'm gonna take your advice on Arrested Development and give it a go. Also, don't yell at me Nan, but I've never watched Alias and I've heard enough good things that I'm gonna break down and buy the dvd's. Oh, and Nan, I'm glad you liked Cloverfield cause I don't know anyone else who saw it, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't insane in likin it... it did rock though, right..I liked the impalement, the way the camera focused on her legs instead of...well you know. did you know that the last message on the tape that sounds like gibberish is actually a sentence recorded backwards ...it's no biggie, but I don't want to say what it is....you can find out online though...Like I said, no big deal though, but kinda cool. Sorry to ramble, but how about music you guys? Likes, dislikes? Rock? Emo? Metal? Rap? I'm all over the place, but I like My Chemical Romance...don't hate, I know it's cry baby emo, but the Black Parade is really good!

Unknown said...

Cloverfield was awesome! :D

And I meant once we all have gotten into college and therefore can relax into a state of senioritis-induced bliss. XD

Anonymous said...

New Michael- DUDE! You should have never told me you lie queer as folk (im assuming you mean the US version, not the suck-ass UK version). I'm obsessed with it! As for Cloverfield- i dont know anything about the message, but apparently in the last shot you can see...something (the cause of the ______). Six Feet Under isnt for everything (its uber intense) but i love it oh so much. I dont watch the Wire, but my sister does and she loves it. It's on my list to watch.

Music: i'm a huge music person, so I'll narrow down my list to what ive been listening to recently: Muse (I'm a HUGE fan), The Cold War Kids, The Arcade Fire, Dear and the Headlight, Neutral Milk Hotel, Dashboard Confessional, Elliott Smith, the Dandy Warhols...thats all i can think of right now.

Anonymous said...

You've got to see the Wire Nan- It's honestly the best show i ever saw- (and I'm not being fanboyish either) I mean it's gangsta though, so it's not for everyone, but the acting is incredible! I'm all wrapped up in this...the last season right now. Also, I love The Muse and The Strokes and LCD soundsystem...Oh and I like The Dandy Warhols because they're on the Veronica Mars soundtrack which I love! So is Tegan and Sara...my newest guilty pleasure ( I mean I don't go telling my guy friends I like Tegan n Sara...but I really, really think they're awesome!) Anyway, Queer as folk is another thing I don't go runnin around tellin people i like ( I mean my friends would probably slap me...LOL). But I can't help it, I got totally wrapped up in it! I don't remember if I saw the end though:( I'm also a huge music person! Artic Monkeys, Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, lou reed, The Clash! and on and on. Hey Erin, how's that Sarlaac thing working out? I kinda dropped it cause, like, that guy left me miserable..."Sob, I hated raiders 2...sob, I don't watch much TV...sob, I blah blah blah..." Sorry, I had a bad day...I'll go now.

Anonymous said...

You should be proud of your music/tv tastes!! Veronica Mars rocks the man, as does its soundtrack.

Anonymous said...

Im an old school music person in the main - Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac, (and Knopfler/Buckingham in their solo works) but I also love R.E.M, n my fav. artist at the moment is Utada Hikaru. New Michael you have some great tastes there in music... although sorry I cant come onboard with My Chemical Romance lol... I dont hate you for liking them though!
So does anyone here love The Sopranos? Thats my new obsession at the moment, I bought the DVDs a month ago and am really enjoying it.

Anonymous said...

first there was Benny's collection, then everyone's talking about music. music in my obsession.

Anonymous said...

I dug the Sopranos- watched it from year one...The end though...well, let me know if you liked it. Just bought a Dresden Files book ( Eight dollars for a paperback!). I miss that show! The scfi channel didn't give it much of a go...I thought it was really good:( Hey Benny, did you ever hear the Buckingham/Nicks album (not Fleetwood Mac). Forget what it's called and I can't find it on cd...Do you know it? Oh, and the Black Parade (my chemical romance) is good-it's like a throw back to Queen or Pink Floyd:). Oh well, gonna go watch some Buff season 7...(my boring ass life). Yo Nan- Neutal Milk Hotel? What the hell is that?!?

Anonymous said...

New Michael : now your really getting into my area of expertise!
The Original Buckingham/Nicks Album was called simply that - Buckingham Nicks. You can find it on most major torrent engines. Its beyond fantastic. There is also a rare album (if you can call it that) called the Coffee Plant Sessions, which is fantastic, but is only available in FLAC (lossless) format so it quite large for a music album (almost 1/2 a GB i belive). Worth the download though.
If I can recommend anything to you though, it would be his current album (Under the Skin) which is widely available, or, even better, his never-released 1995 album 'Gift of Screws' which is my favorite ever album. Half the songs wound up on 'Under the Skin' or the 2003 Fleetwood album 'Say you Will', but its a tragedy that they never released it in its entirity. You can also find it on any torrent site.

Also OLD michael - WOW fantastic collection! Id take a pic of mine but that would just involve taking a pic of my External Hard Drive lol. But man, two shelves. Thats fantastic.
(also Nan or someone, Im ITCHING to paypal you guys my donation! lol SOMEONE tell me how please!!)

Anonymous said...

thanks Benny - many years, many dollars. but speaking of downloads, almost 3 days for Farscape season 1 - watching it now.

Anonymous said...

I hope Im the bearer of good tidings here:

http://digg.com/movies/Jason_Bateman_Confirms_Arrested_Development_Movie_Talks

Im yet to see Farscape, I know people who are obsessed (but then, I know people who are obsessed with Stargate, so hmmm). I will watch it one day no doubt. It was actually made about 5 minutes from my house here in sydney!

Anonymous said...

would AD work as a movie? btw, it was minus 46 celsius on Monday here in Edmonton - wish I lived in Sydney. Like Farscape for the muppet aliens - more interesting than the strangely human looking supposed aliens they have on some other shows.

Anonymous said...

Sorry Benny- Paypal is a bit of a mystery to me. I believe what you do is go to paypal.com, click on the "send money" tab, then fill in our email address and so forth. However, its entirely possible that you can do it through our RSS feed (which we are currently unable to log into- hence our current issues regarding episode 7).I'll talk to Erin about it tomorrow and let you know if she tells me otherwise.

Neutral Milk Hotel is a fantastic band from the 90s. In An Aeroplane Over the Sea is hands down my favorite album ever made. They're sound is definitely different from most bands, so much so that i can't really think of a similar group. Just trust me- they're amazing.

Anonymous said...

An Aeroplane Over the Sea - I've seen that album very recently - something else to try out.

Anonymous said...

Yo Benny- Thanks for the tip on Buck and Nicks- By the way, did you ever hear the Camper Van Beethoven Tusk album? They do the entire album with their flavor- it came out a few years ago...but was done in the eighties, I think...I like it a lot (but I'm big into Camper though). Oh, and Farscape....loved it! Very funny and smart...another premature burial...sob. I airbrushed myself a Scorpius/Chyanna shirt...but people don't get it:( "What That?" ..."It's Farscape..." "Huh?"

Anonymous said...

Scorpius/Chyanna - even the humanoid aliens were well done.

Anonymous said...

I would just like to say that Season 6 of X-Files is SO AMAZING!! i have a HUGE AP Euro test tomorrow, but i cannot stop watching it!! damn you, chris carter! damn yoooouuuu!!!!

Anonymous said...

OMG New Michael. Ive never heard of this Tusk Album, but im immediatly going to track it down. Many disagree but I think Tusk is by FAR Fleetwood Macs greatest album, one of the most underrated album of all time. It is totally epic. Rumors is great, Tango in the Night is great. But Tusk is just pure wonderment, or some similar word.

Thanks Nan for the help with the PayPal, let me know. Im downloading that album now lol, Ill let you know what I think.

Arrested development is *SO* good that it would work as a bar napkin. But even if it would be best as a series, Im not going to say no to a movie, No-siree.

Anonymous said...

What's ya think of that tusk Benny...Different, huh? But angel is fantastic, I think...Camper was a great alternative band..They still tour occasionally although the main genius David Lowery is now with or is Cracker. good luck on the test Nan...Don't think a huge gov't conspiracy is gonna save your ass though:)

Anonymous said...

New Michael: Ive been searching furiously for the album but havent been able to find it :( Do you have a torrent/purchasing link?
Nan: I really enjoyed that album. Thanks for the tip. It will stay on my Ipod for a while :) Even though its not really the same, for some really strange reason I was reminded of the australian band 'The Sleepy Jackson' - you should search out their 2 albums, there current one is well seeded on most torrent engines but their old album 'Lovers' ive found hard to come by but eventually found here:
http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3582324/The_Best_Aussie_Rock_From_The_Past_30_Years
Youll just have to select only the album not the others, but atleast there are seeds. I only really like 1/2 the songs lol, but i LOVE the ones I like, if that makes sence. The new album is great tho.
How did your test go? Did X-Files ruin your grades?

SCULLY: I don't care. Mulder, this is a needle in a haystack. These poor souls have been dead for 50 years. Let them rest in peace. Let sleeping dogs lie.

MULDER: No, I won't sit idly by as you hurl cliches at me. Preparation is the father of inspiration.

SCULLY: Necessity is the mother of invention.

MULDER: The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom.

SCULLY: Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we may die.

MULDER: I scream, you scream, we all scream for non-fat tofutti rice dreamsicles.

Benny, sorry you're having difficulty with CVB's Tusk... I don't have a torrent...But I'm holding the 2cd set in my hand right now:) It came out under the pitch-a-tent records umbrella. And the website they have on the liner notes is pitchatent@athens.net. Have never checked it out but hope that helps...I know this cd was hard for me to get here in the states as it was only recently released, but Camper Van Beethoven recorded it in 1987! It's very good, but be forewarned...Ah, nevermind, it's awesome! Oh that Mulder...what a scamp:)

Forget pitch-a-tent...it's something totally different now...Hope you find it though...it's definately worth checking out if you're into Fwood Mac or Camper Van Beethoven...

omg i found it on amazon as Old Michael said. THANKYOU! have to wait till monday though to download it. Damn me and buying so many DVDs this week :( THANKS NEW MICHAEL FOR THE TIP!
Nan: Thats a awesome episode, awesome quote. My favorite episode was the one where they go investigate some abdction but its from the point of view of this science fiction writer who is there a few weeks after Moulder and Scully. The episode is verry 'Whedony' and is just fantastic.
Welcome to the cult StevenB!

Im seeing Juno on tuesday :) Cant wait. I loved the kid when he was in arrested development.

Oh and i was really dissapointed in the look of my dvd collection so I put all the stray ones back and re-aranged them, so heres a much better attempt :) and at much higher resolution you can actually read the DVDs.

OK, I just sent you loverly ladies an e-mail...Juno is AMAZING!!....Umm what on earth are you guys talking about? Just wondering.

Juno was awesome! But I'm still going Cloverfield as the best movie I saw recently...I really felt like I was a part of that movie...I didn't like Atonement too much, besides some clever editing. Is anyone listening to Buffy Between the Lines? It's like a radio(pod) drama acting out plots between the seasons...Some of the voices are dead on...And the production is tops. I'm actually digging it:)

Here's one of my favorite quotes:"There's a Slayer handbook?"
"Wait, handbook? What handbook? How come I don't have a handbook?"
"Is there a t-shirt, too? 'Cause that would be cool." -- Willow and Buffy

Is Buffy Between the Lines that good? I guess I'll give it a listen.

Thanks for the email, Stevenb. We'll definitely answer those in the next episode.
New Michael: i actually LOVED Atonement. that one shot on the beach that lasted like a good 5 minutes without breaking was amazing. i also loved the soundtrack (aka the typewriter). But i do know some people who didnt like it, so i wont hold it against you.

Nan, my girlfriend dug Atonement...But we did a back to back and went to see Juno first, then right to Atonement...and I was like....snoozing:) I honestly had no feelings for the main characters' relationship. But, i do agree that it was shot well. I guess I was just over-hyped because of the oscar buzz around it...Oh well, just got Buffy number 11 (comic)! Written by Joss! Gonna go read it and watch some Firefly(which is of course, frackin awesome!) And I gotta say, being an artist myself, these covers on this Buffy series are the cat's meow!:)
