Episode 5 up!

Yup, that's right - Episode 5 is up. A little late than expected, but nevertheless, released. We hope you all enjoy - we had a lot of fun making it!

Thanks for your support!

EDIT: If you're experiencing any sound quality issues (aside from that god-awful cheap mic-induced screechy noise that sometimes occurs), please comment here or email us!

Hey girls, great podcast!
Been a very sad day down here, b'coz of poor steve irwin. :(
I met him once at Australia Zoo he was such a nice guy! In one of his shows he made mention of buffy in passing, so maybe he was a fan. Maybe I dont know.
Anyway im really depresseed :'(

Thanks for another great podcast, guys! *blush* You're far too kind. Hope everything goes well as you start back up in school.

My husband and I watched "The Zeppo" last night and the references to Superman made me think of Chevy. Has anyone heard from him? Are you still out there Chevster?

I know it's not much Benny, but remember, Steve died doing what he loved to do. Some people loved him for it, some thought he was crazy, but animals were his passion and he shared them with us all.

Hey ladies... Have you seen Firefly? If not, you really should. It would also put to rest your whole black vs brown coat thoughts. As someone onece said to me (and this is part of what got me watching Buffy), there's room in the 'verse for both the black and the brown coats!

Hey guys! Thanks for the podcast! Loved it!
Definately one of the best I think. Congrats again and I cant wait for the next!

Kim - Love Firefly/Serenity! When I first heard about it the idea of a "space western" really turned me off. I tried it out because I love Joss' work and, sure enough, it was a big hit with me. :-)

Hi just to let you know i really enjoyed the podcast, i hope you keep going after you have finished all the seasons of Buffy.

I am English so, needless to say I swear in English slang. So I thought I would point out that both Sod and Bollocks are really old words. Both where in use in the 19th century. Sod dating back to middle ages and like the word bugger not really having the same meaning today as it did back then. ( the same goes for Berk, these days it just means a stupid person rather than the Berkley hunt rhyming slang you mention before.

Bollocks (i looked this up) is from the old english beallucas a variation of which I suspect is Marc Blucas who played the much loved Riley.

my favourite bit of English slang. " Your my slayer. do as i tell you, now sod off!". Well something like that anyway. Keep bloody podcasting!!!!!!!

Amanda.

hey amanda! welcome! fun little factoid: my names actually amanda, too! what are the odds? (i actually know many amandas, so id say theyre pretty likely...

anyway, thanks for the correction...and for humiliating us in front of all 4 of our fans...just kidding! but really, thanks for the correction!

Erin said...

Wow, thanks Amanda, that's good to know! I admit I'm no expert on British slang. Or anything British for that matter.

Mwah, it's so cool to have fans from so many places. Isn't podcasting just wonderful? XD

Anonymous said...

Me again (this now doubles the posts i have made on webpages this year).

i meant it niether as a correction or as an attempt to hulimialte you infront of your fans. Just a factoid, like you said. BtVS was always spot on with the British stuff. Except Dru's accent. And the mines in London. but hey!

I was just pointing stuff out. Cos it's my neck of the woods. I for example have no idea what PGSM is. Maybe you mentioned in your podcast I have not heard the end yet.

i forgive you, my child...i forgive you.

PGSM is a Sailor Moon-realted thing. i have only recently entered Erin's world of Japanese manga, and such, but other than that, i havent got a clue.

I don't even know what a zima is. i figured out its a drink, but i feel i am missing out on a joke somewhere.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon :p

n welcome amanda (all english expressions and slang are used down here in australia too. :D)

Erin said...

lol, don't worry! I didn't know what the heck Zima was until after I watched Buffy. ^^;

Anonymous said...

"Cool Refreshing Zima" is an Andrew quote. I believe it was during storyteller (please correct me if im wrong)when they were all interrogating him about the seal. he got nervous, and said "can i have some water? or a cool, refreshing zima?" , which is also the tag line for the drink, Zima...
so thats basically the history of the name CRZ in a nutshell.

In the 'This and That: With Rusty' sketch on MadTV, Rusty always offers his interviewed guest a Zima. David Boreanaz spits his out on Rusty, i believe.

Here is the link. David is very funny :D

Sorry I've been gone for so long, apparently I missed exciting commentage. Including Erin being 'annoyingly cute'...? I can't believe how long the discussions are getting on this blog...it's awesome! & I'm starting to think it's time we got a forum. ^_^

Maybe Amanda could explain to me & Erin what a 'pillock' is, or whatever Giles calls the werewolf guy in season 2. I'm pretty sure it's 'pillock'....?

Also, I mostly wanted to say thank you to Benny for the link to the Zima video, because that had me cracking up for a good five minutes. Although at first I couldn't tell that it was scripted, and I got very scared that David would actually give someone his used teabag.

Anonymous said...

WOO! I get a gold star! *dances*

Knew you'd love it as much as me Harry :D
Keep it up guyS! Oh and Ellie, I think 'Pellock' is just another insulting british word, like 'bint' that Spike always says. :D

Anonymous said...

howdy, neil! welcome to the cult, and congrats on your shiney new star!

and ellie- i just started #7 of Fushigi Yugi, and i cant believe that things she said to Tamahome! we NEED to talk STAT! (i am a HUGE nerd!)

Liz said...

Figures, Giles had that insulting-British-man tone. And I've found that most unknown British words tend to mean idiot. Or at least, they do on Buffy...

Nan~you ARE a huge nerd! I can't even be seen with you, and I'm...me. Okay anyway ~ OMG isnt book 7 intense? I love the page when he reaches out to touch her and is like, "So I'm supposed to go insane?!". Sexual tension you could cut with a knife! You need to watch the anime, it's so random. Tamahome has blue hair and Hotohori has green! X_X

I remember when Coors came out with Zima... It was supposed to be a non-beer like drink. Marketed specifically towards women, more like a wine cooler, but not. It was only good with a lot of grenadine in it, really it's just another beer. I haven't had one in ages. I come from the land of Coors so we tend to hear more about these things... I have to admit I did laugh when you gals opened up a can in the intro though. Zima has never been in a can.

Randy from The Buffy BuffCast here...

Awww, Comon guys. You know we don't hate you. That was a total misunderstanding. We were actually talking about a Fanfic based on the same idea. Wayne has mentioned it's existance to me before, but I had never read it personally so I didn't actually know what it was called. So that's why I said "The Cool Refreshing Zima thing". I believe that this: http://home.comcast.net/~wesleysgirl/fanfiction/fewdegrees.html was what he was referring too.

Come on, really. I would never be so mean to call you guys a fanfic and a "thing". Sorry for the misunderstanding though. I'll have to remember to share the love next episode to make up for it! Good luck guys!
