Several days ago I purchased my own domain space, so now CRZ is going to have a more cohesive and permanent home. So yay! I'm going to start working on a website today. I'm going to try and get episode 7 up on the RSS feed ASAP as well. I post links when I get them up and running.

an update and a favor

Hey everyone~

I'm a little closer to getting the RSS feed back online...so hopefully that should be resolved soon.

Thanks to everyone who has left feedback so far! Please leave some feedback about what you all want to hear in our 8th episode of CRZ, as there is a *possibility* we may be recording that next month, around my birthday~ (march 27, of course).

Speaking of birthdays, during which one typically is at least nice to the birthday subject, I would like to ask you all a little favor...

Now most of you know there are those things out there that are like "WIN A FREE iPHONE LOLZ!"

Some of you may not know that some of these things actually work, though it takes a little effort. I have decided to try one that a friend of mine has had success with. There are options to win iPhones and other apple stuff, but I'm just going for the $300 in cash thing because I really need money for my Japan trip this summer (well, that or buying new podcasting equipment).

Since this whole thing is based on a referral system, this is where you all can come in. If you like.

Here is a step-by-step tutorial:

1. Register on this website. You'll have a choice of more than just a free iPhone. You can get a free 8gb iPod Nano, free 20" Apple Cinema Display, free 160GB iPod Classic, free 40GB Apple TV, or simply $300 in free cash.

Most people think these things are scams or fake, but they actually work if you do it right. They are based on referrals which, when completed, make advertising money for the giveaway sites. The trick is to pick offers that are absolutely free!

Which brings us to step two:

2. Complete an offer! As previously mentioned, completing a totally free offer is the easiest way to go. If you hurry, there is a free offer from Stamps.com. All you have to do is register at this website, navigate to free offers, and find the one for Stamps.com (last I checked it's on the last page of offers). You must keep the Stamps.com account for three weeks to get credit for the offer, and then cancel before the fourth week and retain the credit. What I plan to do is call after 21 days are up and say that I'm canceling because I have a - Mac. The software is only for PC, so it's a good excuse.

Or, you can keep your Stamps.com account and enjoy the convenience of printing postage from home (great for eBay sellers).

Now, when you register at the YourFreeiStuff.com website, you'll be given the option of completing via referrals or by completing offers. I chose referrals, because it is much easier for us to all help each other out by doing one offer than it is to complete several offers all on our own. That brings us to step number three.

3. Refer your friends using the referral link in your profile. They can even complete the same offer you did (remember, Stamps.com is totally free and requires no payment if you cancel between weeks 3 and 4).

That's it, after you refer enough friends, you can claim your free prize. :)

You can too, it's easy, free, a fun challenge, and it works!

cool, refreshing zima episode 7 - a caveat or two.

Sorry for the wait, guys. I've been having some issues with the FTP server I use, and it looks as if it's going to be a little while before that gets resolved.

However, I really would like you all to get your hands on this episode, since it's been so long in the coming, so I've uploaded it to some free file hosting sites. I hope to get the server issue resolved in some manner soon (I may just end up purchasing one of my own, upload all 7 of the files to it, and then redirect the RSS feed). We'll see, I guess.

Is anybody out there????

Hello, dwellers of the CRZ blog. On behalf of the Not-So-Evil-Trio, I would like to apologize for our extremely long absence. Recently it has felt like our school is located directly above the mouth of hell, and fighting off herds of bloodsucking demons (aka our teachers) has become our full time job. But, alas, that is no excuse (well, it is, it just sucks). Now many of you have asked when episode 7 is coming out, and i can honestly say that i, unfortunately, have no clue. Hopefully we'll be able to do it during our Thanksgiving break (fingers crossed), but don't hold your breath (we need you all to continue supporting us, so, needless to say, you dying is not in our best interests). Thank you so much for not abandoning us, and hopefully our angelic voices will be filling your worlds very soon!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Junior year stress has been piling on top of all three of us, making getting together to podcast extremely hard. OK, yeah, I know, I haven't fixed the layout yet for all of you....IE users. But hey, while you're waiting, how about you watch Veronica Mars. Seriously. One of the best things I've ever done in my life. I think Nan also agrees with me, and in due time, Ellie will too. It's truly an amazing show, and Buffy-esque, so if you haven't seen it yet, now is the time! Besides, if my glowing praise hasn't converted you already, maybe the fact that Alyson Hannigan, Charisma Carpenter, and, yes, Joss Whedon himself all have roles! Not to mention Joss Whedon loves the show as well.


...But I'm sure you all knew that.

I submitted the CRZ feed to the new digg podcasts section. Interestingly, the people over at spotanime.com submitted it first, but they got the feed wrong so nothing was showing up. ^^; I applaud them for the effort, though. :3

Okay, I finally fixed it. I think. Maybe. Not guaranteeing 100% awesomeness in IE (or for that matter, Safari, Opera, or any other browser besides Firefox...), but oh well. Expect a few tweaks here and there, but for the most part it's complete. So yay. We were *really* overdue for a layout change.

Sorry about the crapified state of the blog right now. It's 3:23 in the morning. I've been working on this annoying layout for a few hours now, and I STILL (for some annoying crap reason I have yet to figure out) can't get the div layers aligned.

What's uber annoying though, is that I *thought* I was complete a few hours ago - it looked PERFECT on the blogger preview thing, right? But when I actually published it, it looked like utter crap. And it's still not working. Meh.

So the moral of the story? DON'T trust blogger's "preview" option. It doesn't work.

Anyway...

...I want to sleep, so I'm leaving it like this for the time being. Sorry for the inconvenience - I'll try to fix it tomorrow. :3

upgrade + news

Hey, just letting you all know that we finally upgraded to the beta version of blogger...so if there are weird kinks or something, that's probably the reason why. Hopefully they'll fix themselves.

As I mentioned in a comment or something, we're fairly certain we're getting together on Sunday to record CRZ Episode 6. w00t! Bones

I don't know how many of you already watch the amazing show Bones, but if you don't, the week after next's episode is probably a great time to start. Why? Because not only is David Boreanaz the shit, but DAVID DUCHOVNY (a.k.a. Mulder from The X-Files) directed it. And it's looking extremely promising. Besides, what can be better than my two Davids?

Common Rotation and the day that will live in FAMY~

So as you all know (or most of ye), Ellie, Nan along with our comrade Kat went to the Common Rotation Concert at World Cafe Live in Philly D last Friday. Suffice to say it was quite possibly the coolest day EVAR. The concert was so amazing - honestly, their CDs and mp3s cannot even begin to compare with how they sound live. The difference is staggering, so if you've given them a listen and like what you hear, go to one of their concerts because you will be blown away.

Anyway, after the amazingness, we all went down and bought tons o' merchandise from our pal Jordan. We then were able to snag a pic with the band and we left briefly because it was uber crowded and we were kind of in everyone else's way. We decided to delve back in, however, because we didn't want to end on a saddish note (Adam was a bit distant). We went back in armed with out made I ♥ CRZ sign. I approached Adam and said something along the lines of, "This is going to sound really geeky, but my friends and I have this podcast and we would really appreciate it if you could sign this piece of paper for us." Adam then took the sign. Nan was like, "It's a Buffy podcast." Adam then said, "What does CRZ stand for?" Ellie said, of course, "Cool, refreshing zima." I'm unsure if he got the reference - I mean, he was of course in that episode, but you never know how much these people actually remember about what they're in since they're not all obsessive about it like we are. ANYWAY...he signed it "AAAAAAAAH!" And then he put "-> that's for refreshment", and signed it. I was completely SHOCKED because as you know we say "Ahh" in our little intro thing, so it was very coincidental/ironic/A SIGN!? He was uber nice about it, and after me saying thank you like a BAJILLION times (looking like an idiot, of course, I was like shaking my ass off), we left. I was like, "Come back to Philly!" We ran away, and Ellie, as we left, screamed SO LOUD, it was hilar. Anyway, we'll probably tell this story again in our next podcast, but I thought you all should know.

Due to upcoming weeks of the tech variety, time is going to be slim - at least for Nan and me, since we're very involved in our school's production of Into the Woods. I've been working on my design skills over the past couple of months, and suffice to say, I have improved greatly since I made this crap layout. I'm in the middle of designing a brand new one. I had one fleshed out and almost ready to go...but then I realized I really hated it, so I'm starting over.
